Process Improvements
Registration is just the first step. Whether
you want to implement Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, achieve
the Malcolm Baldridge Award, or win a Deming Prize for Quality,
you need the consistency and formal Management Systems that
registration to an ISO based standard provides.
Once you are registered however, maintaining registration is not enough.
If all you do is make sure that your documentation is correct and
appropriately filed, your registration will be more of a burden than an
asset. It is important to utilize the consistency of operation to generate
valid data that you can use to drive targeted improvements in the company.
You do not have unlimited resources so it is important that you make large
improvements not token enhancements. Clydesdale can custom tailor a Process
Improvement program to meet your needs.
A program may include one or more of these types of activities:
Improvement Training
Maximize the effectiveness of your Corrective Action, Preventive Action,
and Continuous Improvement actions with our proven methodology.
Management Review Assistance
Take a fresh look at your Management System and data sources to make sure
you truly understand the state of the company and are applying resources
appropriately.
Quality Objectives
Get assistance in determining appropriate goals throughout the company to
ensure that overall company objectives are obtained.
Process Reengineering
Take a step back to look at a system and redesign it to reduce scrap/rework,
improve quality, increase customer satisfaction, increase employee
satisfaction, and increase throughput.
Process Capability
Understand if your processes are capable of producing the desired result.
Quality is consistency. While a process may be capable of producing one
good product it may falter when producing thousands. Understanding the
strengths and weaknesses of your processes can lead you to the discovery
of drastic quality improvements and the reduction of inspections, re-work,
re-inspections, and re-processing. |
“Clydesdale’s methodology gave us a simple way to document our processes, which clearly communicated the information to anyone who needed to know. Not only did this make it easy to become registered as consistent with ISO 9000, it pushed us to think in terms of continually improving ourselves.” —Ken Knoll, DaimlerChrysler
